Tuesday, August 12, 2008 (8:30-3:30) Teacher Workshop for Elementary teachers from Montgomery County Public Schools. This workshop is part of the MCPS Watershed Service Learning Project. It will include hands-on experimental design with elements of GLOBE, Save Our Streams, World Water Monitoring Day, and Project WET, correlated to the Standards of Learning for grades K-5. Llyn Sharp and Patricia Gaudreau are the workshop leaders.

Tues-Weds, June 24-25, 2008 4-H Congress Geosciences Activities and field trip to Dixie Caverns.

Friday, June 27, 2008 Meaningful Watershed Experiences workshop and field trip for upper elementary teachers (at Hollins).

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 Museum work day refurbish Education Resource Center Earth Science teaching kits

Museum Tour Guide training will be held in the Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 from 4:00-5:00 pm and repeated on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 11:00-12.

Narrows High School visit: join Museum TA Amy Smith to lead rock and mineral activities for Earth Science students in Anna Swenty's class. Will be away from campus from about 8:00 am-2:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept 16.
