The Museum is housed in the Department of Geosciences,
2062 Derring Hall, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.  540-231-6894.
Please schedule groups in advance to avoid overcrowding.

Public Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Free Admission.

We occasionally have Saturday hours. Those will be announced here and in newspapers.

Study tables and wireless connectivity are available. 

The Museum serves as the pick-up and drop-off site for materials loaned from the Education Resource Center.

Derring Hall [37°13' 46.6"N, 80°13' 35.6"W] is located on Perry Street near West Campus Drive, close to the Duck Pond on the Virginia Tech campus. See VT Maps--Derring is on the "central campus" map.

Parking passes are available from the Visitor Information Center [37°12' 58"N, 80°25' 26"W]. There are several lots near the Museum. For safety, busses can drop students off by the door of Derring Hall, then go get a pass and park.
