Museum of Geosciences
The Museum is housed in the VT Department of Geosciences,
2062 Derring Hall, Virginia Tech, 1405 Perry Street, Blacksburg, Virginia.

Many groups are visiting this time of year: welcome to Margaret Beeks Elementary, Blacksburg Head Start, Dayspring Christian Academy, and Dublin Middle School!
Join the College of Science Diversity Breakfast with Dr. Claudia Mora on Friday, April 17 at 8:30 am in the Museum. Dr. Mora will also be speaking at the Geosciences Spring Banquet, and giving the Geosciences Seminar at 4:00 pm in Derring 4069.
Public Hours: usually Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Free Admission.
We occasionally have Saturday hours. Those will be announced here and in media.
Study tables and wireless connectivity are available.
The Museum serves as the pick-up and drop-off site for materials loaned from the Education Resource Center.
Derring Hall [37°13' 46.6"N, 80°13' 35.6"W] is located at 1405 Perry Street near West Campus Drive, close to the Duck Pond on the Virginia Tech campus. See VT Maps--Derring is on the "central campus" map. For safety, school busses can loop in to drop students off by the door of Derring Hall, then go park.
Free parking passes* for weekdays before 5pm are available from the VT Visitor Information Center [37.23108° N, 80.43429°W] and at the Perry Street Parking Garage. The Derring lot is closed for construction, but there are several lots not too far from the Museum.
*No pass is needed for evenings or weekends.
