The Museum is housed in the Department of Geosciences,
2062 Derring Hall, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia.  540-231-6894.
Please schedule groups and classes in advance to avoid overcrowding.

Public Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Free Admission.
We occasionally have Saturday hours. Those will be announced here and in media.

Hokiesaurus Presents: The Wet Planet!
Thursday April 19, 2012 from 4-5pm
Museum of Geosciences, 2062 Derring Hall.
Hands on activities and learning about watersheds, the water cycle and the amazing mystery of the disappearing Mountain Lake! Appropriate for kids and interested educators.
Presented by the GeoSTEM Outreach Team.
Parking in the F/S lot on Perry St. Visitor passes available in the Museum.

Study tables and wireless connectivity are available. 

The Museum serves as the pick-up and drop-off site for materials loaned from the Education Resource Center.

Derring Hall [37°13' 46.6"N, 80°13' 35.6"W] is located on Perry Street near West Campus Drive, close to the Duck Pond on the Virginia Tech campus. See VT Maps--Derring is on the "central campus" map.

Parking passes for weekdays are available from the Visitor Information Center [37°12' 58"N, 80°25' 26"W] and at the Parking Garage. There are several lots near the Museum. For safety, busses can drop students off by the door of Derring Hall, then go park.
No pass is needed on evenings or weekends.
